This site is designed to help ease the pain of determining grades for a weighted class. Determining your grade in a weighted class once you
complete an assignment is not as simple as adding all the numbers together and finding an average. Multiple percentages (weights) are involved,
making the calculations much more complex. These spreadsheets help solve this dilemma. These easy-to-use, straightforward spreadsheets
involve nothing more than plugging in a few numbers. Use these spreadsheets and save yourself some time—starting today.
Some Exciting Changes 10-May-09
I haven't had much time to work on this website, but I managed to find some time today to work on it! You most likely have noticed the site's new
look—it is more efficient and user-friendly than before. Also, I have updated my Punnett Square Solver to version 1.1. It can now solve trihybrid
crosses (64 alleles). Check it out!
BioGradeCalc is a weighted grade calculator for Mr. Eichwald's Honors Biology class. Since each category in this class has a different weight,
it can be difficult to determine what your grade would be if you got a certain grade on an assignment. With this you can easily determine what
your grade will be without any math. All you have to do is type in a few numbers, and the spreadsheet does the rest! Any help you may need is
shown on the right side of the spreadsheet. A generic version of this spreadsheet is also available for those not in Mr. Eichwald's Biology class.
v1.0: Initial release.
v1.1: Major physical changes.
Added ability to display the exam grade needed to achieve the lowest A, B, C, or D in the class.
Added ability to display the exam grade needed to achieve a certain grade. v2.0 (Current): Major visual changes, minor physical changes.
Added more colorful, modern look to spreadsheet (Excel 2007 required in some cases).
New variable coloring of cells based on grade (Excel 2007 required).
Changed the way category percent is viewed. Final release.
NOTE: The first two spreadsheets are specific versions for Mr. Eichwald's Honors Biology class and are password protected. Please download
the general WeightedGradeCalc spreadsheet if you are not part of Mr. Eichwald's class. You will need to install 7-zip to extract the spreadsheet

It's here! All you have to do is plug in the allele combinations for either square and the spreadsheet solves it instantly. Also, in version 1.1 a feature has
been implemented that allows it to solve trihybrid Punnett squares—that's 64 genotypes. This would normally take a long time to figure out by hand, but
with this spreadsheet it will be made easy!
I spend a large amount of my time creating these spreadsheets from scratch and give them away for free. If you have found these spreadsheets
to be useful and would like to donate to support the future creation of more spreadsheets like these, any amount you could give would be greatly
appreciated. In return, I will place a link to your site on this page (text or an image if you would like) if you are one of the top ten kind donators.
